AARP's CAregiver support campaign
This year, AARP has launched an awareness campaign on the issues that are involved in the growing number of family caregivers. The goal of the 3 year campaign is to raise awareness and provide information and support to the more than 42 million unpaid caregivers.
The new television, radio, print, outdoor and digital public service ad's (PSAs) portray the isolation, sense of responsibility, and frustration a caregiver feels, while assuring families in the US that they are not alone in their struggle, and communicating that AARP has set up a community of experts and other caregivers to “help each other better care for ourselves and the ones we love.” The PSAs encourage caregivers to access these tools by visiting www.aarp.org/caregiving or calling a toll-free hotline at 877-333-5885. AARP has an abundant amount of resources.
