New Jersey Long Term Care Partnership Program


The New Jersey State Partnership for Long Term Care is a program that combines private LTC Insurance and Medicaid Extended Coverage, it allows residents of NJ to protect assets equal to the long term care insurance benefits received from a New Jersey Partnership Policy so that the assets will not be taken into account in determining their financial eligibility for Medicaid.

New Jersey's LTC Partnership Program is one of the many states to implement a Partnership Program as described in the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005, and currently there are several LTC insurance carriers that sell NJ Long-Term Care Insurance Partnership policies.
