Ohio Partnership for Long-Term Care Insurance


Ohio has partnered with several major insurance companies to offer a qualifying Partnership Policy. Ohio Partnership for Long-Term Care Insurance allows residents of Ohio to buy LTC Insurance, receive benefits and protect the amount of assets that the policy holders receive in benefits when should they ever need to apply for Medicaid. Without a partnership policy Ohioans would have to deplete all assets to qualify for Medicaid assistance. This program was developed to encourage residents of OH to plan for their long term care needs.

Ohio participates in reciprocal recognition, OH will recognize a qualified partnership policy purchased in other state if the other state does the same.
